It all began in the early 2000s when a group of barefoot surfers craved a strong brew to fuel their adventures. From the back of our surf shop, we started serving coffee to friends and the local community, embracing a koha payment system that welcomed honesty and gratitude. With a touch of Kiwi ingenuity, we crafted our own unique coffee blend using an old roaster and some creative tools. Our little hole in the wall quickly became a favorite spot for locals and tourists. We also introduced 'The Book Deal,' allowing anyone to pay what they could, making our space accessible to all.
